Admire the beautiful view from the scenic river overlook and then head for the water using the boat ramp. A large pavilion adds a nice touch to a special event. Close to 2 Rivers Campground is picturesque Point Park and the grand General Butler State Resort Park with its 30-acre lake. Guests at 2 Rivers Campground will find it easy to enjoy the attractions of three states--the home state of Kentucky as well as neighboring Indiana and Ohio. The park is where where the Kentucky and Ohio rivers meet, resulting in opportunities to boat, fish and canoe. Point Park in town has a public boat ramp and is also the scene for outdoor festivals and riverboat landings. Nearby golf courses are plentiful, and there are tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, baseball fields and playgrounds. Explore the historic buildings of the city, including the Old Stone Jail, built in 1880. If you take the Country Roads Driving Tour, you will discover cattle barns, wild turkey and the Masterson House, the first two-story brick house between Cincinnati and Louisville. Learn more local history at the grand General Butler State Resort Park. The Butler-Turpin home is preserved and open for tours. Follow the 4.5 mile Fossil Trail through open fields and old hardwood forests behind a stone overlook that is the highest point in the county. Fish, pedal boat and canoe in the 30-acre Butler Lake. Further up the road is Big Bone Lick, the final resting place for prehistoric beasts that sank into the swampy land, victims of their own weight. Life-size replicas of mastodons and bison are on display, and the indoor-outdoor museum has a collection of bones. ALL SITES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
